On Sunday, March 8th, at 2PM, at the historic El Casino Ballroom (Built in 1947!) we will present our new Arroyo Café Radio Show Production, “Viva Tucson!”, an old time variety show celebrating our rich cultural heritage with dance, songs and laughter. For this one show we’re mixing it up with a beautiful historic show location and an amazing diverse cast.
Viva Tucson! will feature me, Fitz, and “The Divine Diva” Crystal Stark, along with comedians Dave Membrila and Priscilla Fernandez, celebrity newsmen Paul Cicala and Steve Nuñez, Mayor Regina Romero, Comedian Elliot Glicksman, the spectacular “Viva Dance” studio dancers, the huge and amazing “Festival Band” (Stick around for the dancing afterwards), Richard Elias, Danny Eckstrom, Tucson’s one and only “Mariachi Patron” (Will they blow the bolts off the ballroom ceiling? Come see for yourself), Guero ”The Sonoran Hot Dog King” Canelo, and only the very best native American Comedian West of Plymouth Rock, Wolf Brown, along with Steve Holmes, and Fanny Carreon, all under the musical direction of the gifted Richard Katz. It’s a spectacular lineup!
In addition to the entertainment El Casino Ballroom will have a fine selection of Coronas, Tequilas and similar vices and Micha’s will be offering a delicious buffet. This will be the Fiesta of all Fiestas! Repeat after me, amigos, ”Viva Tucson!”
Tickets are only $12 online at https://bit.ly/398RHKd or $15 at the door. Proceeds will benefit “The Dr. V Project”, honoring Dr. Albert Valenzuela, the Old Pueblo’s preeminent beloved mariachi educator.
